Simple Dried Noodles

I make simple dried noodles as my breakfast almost everyday. It's the right thing to do since the price of dried noodles in Miri is increased from RM 2.50 to RM 3.00. (again, I value every single cents that I had spent). With this amount of money, I can prepare 3 or 4 plates of simple dried noodles. Look, eating in home can bring massive amounts of savings in the long run. Apart from that, most of the foods served at the Kopitiam and restaurant contains high amount of fat and calories if I consumed at a regular basis. In fact, I take my lunch at outside everyday.

My version of dried noodles is reminiscent of my mummy's style dried noodles. However, I've substituted the soy sauce Tong Nam (that used by mummy) to soy sauce with unknown brand. Once I sunk my teeth into this homemade dried noodles-I know I finally come home.  This dish is simple to made in home.

家人

Tay's family portrait

Self-cheating time

Air-conditioner's evaporation from my previous office

It's always.....always the time I self-cheated to myself that I have to focus on marking the tutorial questions in front of me despite how crazy tiles of tutorial questions are, I stare at the same particular spot, don't even need to think twice and spontaneously my finger quickly grabbed the mouse in front of me and start to blog walking, watching YouTube videos, reading romantic novels. I have it almost 2 hours. 2 hours' time "wasted" because of surfing the internet where it can be used to spent for more productive things like develop the notes for the incoming lecture, learn the lecturing skills from some videos, find more interesting examples to let the students understand the important concepts and theory, reading journal to find the research gap.

Filial Piety Campaign (Part 1)

Update on **13 July 2013**

This campaign was highly recommended (you have to read the Beyond the Randomness to find out why we'll be there). We arrived Bintulu terminal bus on 6pm and the officers were there waiting for us 1 hours ago. 10 mins later, we were in the Ming De Temple, Bintulu. Luckily, there were two big cars (Toyota Unser and Innova) to accommodate 12 of us, which were representatives from Miri.

Thanks to the Ming De Temple that arranged the welcoming ceremony for us such as preparing a lot of mouth-watering vegetarian foods, having big applause to welcome us, singing a welcome song and shake hands with us. Those amazing actions really melted my heart.

Have the tired face but happy in heart

The activity started as scheduled on 7pm whereby the emcee (Li Yune and Tian Ning) announced the planned schedule, introduced the main supervisor of the Filial Piety Campaign (高点传师) and also  the rest of the crew members in this campaign. The other officer, 许讲师 also in charge in the camp and helped to divide all the children participants into 4 groups.

Due to the recommendation of高点传师, I was being the leader of the 2nd group. To my surprise, my partner leader was Qi Qiang (启强). @.@

They learned about the 3 signatures of applause method to appreciate the people

The main supervisor of the Filial Piety Campaign (高点传师) was giving the talk regarding the filial concept and the methods used to appreciate the parents with some interesting videos and jokes following his opening speech. The most tension moment was coming when there was a question and answer session. Fortunately, my group members able to answer the questions and successfully get the marks.

On 10.30pm, the activity was ended. However, as a part of the crew members we had to attend the attend meeting chaired by the main supervisor, 高点传师 to discuss the next day’s activity agenda. Dragged my soulless body, I forced myself to pay attention to the discussion.

The coconut puddings made by the members of the Ming De Temple, Bintulu attract my attention. It does only attract my attention but it did not liking my taste. I prefer Thailand’s coconut pudding.

***********

My 2nd group slogan (to increase our group cohesiveness and spirit)

我天生,我立资,我没有办法 (I was born, I stand seniority, I have no way)
我从小就是这么天才(I grew up is so genius)
第二小队,加油,加油,加油(The second group, refueling, refueling, refueling)

However, it's very difficult when practicing the group slogan because as a group leader I couldn't shout the group slogan with power and energy. The voice of other group were very loud and clear. Li Yun had to help me by finding the new and energetic members to replace some of the small-age group members. I was so LAME and WEAK.

Stay tuned for my filial piety campaign part 2 for more awesomeness pictures.......
