Our first sightseeing destination was Beomeosa Temple.
Lets go!!!!
We took the subway and stopped in Beomeosa station.Luckily, we followed a monk from Beomeosa Temple that we met in the station to use the bus no. 90 to reach at the entrance of the temple.
Following the crowd to reach the main gate of the Beomeosa Temple
Melancholic river and bird sound
In fact, I forgot say thank you to the monk that helped us
Walk up the path
The first gate of the Beomeosa Temple, One Pillar Gate
The second gate, Cheonwangmun Gate
4 kings will protect the entrance of Cheonwangmun Gate and chase the bad spirits away
Tranquility and peaceful environment
All the monks were conducting prayer and not allowed to take pictures.I can't control myself and took the pictures too!!!
Super love the mountain view!!!!
Lots of local devotees in here and I feel the Korea Buddhism that I really appreciate
Wished to be with them but language barriers deterred me from entering. What a shame!!!
I tried the fresh stream water and the water was super cool and refreshing
Seongbo Museum
Exhibition about the history of the Beomeosa Temple
He was Monk Dongsan. He lead Korean Buddhist Culture after Japanese imperialism. He recovered true monks that were distorted after Japanese imperialism in 1950s when he handed down the ideological vein of Beomeosa Temple.
This temple is worth visit and its highly recommended. I had so much fun in the temple, worship the special features of Korea temple and appreciated the strong Korea buddhism.
