I went to Sime Darby student residential hall, UUM for
having Roti Canai. According to an Indian friend, the roti canai of Sime Darby served
as one of the best Roti Canai in UUM. Not only that, Sime Darby Roti Canai was
available for the 8am until 10pm. It‘s different with ordinary Roti Canai stall
in UUM that solely operated for few hours only especially in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, the Roti Canai was sold out.
Hence, I opted for Chicken Tandoori set (RM7). Honestly, it’s my first time in
having Chicken Tandoori although I had been heard and seen this food for few
times in other mamak stalls and Nasi Kandar restaurants.
The owner was come from Pakistan
The Chicken Tandoori and Naan were roasted from clay oven
1. red color Chicken Tandoori came with few slices of cucumbers, onion rings and limes.
2. Naan
3. Dhal
4. Mint sauce
To my surprise, the brilliant red color of the Chicken
Tandoori was taste very nice. It had strong and fragrant flavor of the marinate.
I even can eat it without naan. Further,
I love to dip the Chicken Tandoori in the mint sauce for extra kick.
In contrast, the naan was very dry, thick, not crispy and no
aroma at all. I thought to dip the dhal for the naan for enhancing the taste but
the dhal was tasteless. It totally decreased my appetite and even can’t finish
it.
I’ll come back for Chicken Tandoori and others Roti Canai but
wouldn’t order the Naan again.
P/S: I'm just sharing my personal opinions and please bear in mind I'm not responsible for any disappointment are occur.
I gathered with Gao Yuan in library University Utara
Malaysia (UUM) after her doctoral graduation ceremony yesterday. I knew her 4 years ago while I studied Master
degree and met up again when I enrolled Phd studies in previous year. Although
we lose contact for few years, but our feeling towards each other didn’t
change. Both of us agreed and even labeled each other as old friend.
It’s an exciting times for her and me too. The doctoral
graduation ceremony marked the end of her study lives in UUM and Malaysia. 5 Years
of reading articles, writing and editing theses, waiting feedbacks from the supervisors
anxiously had all led to this happy moment. Oh man, it’s not an easy job!!! As her friend
I happy for her because she had ended her miserable Phd journey and back to China. At the same time,
I was quite sad because it signified we parted each other after this and
not even knew there’s a chance to gather with each other.
Wish her a better and bright future
I remembered we waited for school bus to Changlun on 4.30pm
I remembered both of us grabbed and reserved the seats for
each other
I remembered we did our grocery shopping in Changlun
together
I remembered how she advised me on choosing the right types
of vegetables in C-Mart
I remembered she always express her unhappiness and sorrow
to me
I remembered we walked from Varsity Mall to Tradewins as a
form of exercises.
I remembered how both of us go through the “no-food” life
during fasting month
I remembered we shared the similar values, perception and
attitudes
All above were in my memory. It reflected she had been
existed in my life and significantly brought impacts to me.
Couple weeks ago, I re-watch olden Hong Kong drama, “Time
Before Time/大闹广昌隆” as it attracted me so much. I thrilled that the online drama website uploaded it
as it had been released long long time ago, 1997.
The first time I watched “Time Before Time” when I was 7
years old at Roban, Sarawak. At that time, I was so scared with this ghost
theme drama. I remembered my Auntie, Ah
Yi ( literally means mother’s sister in
Hokkien dialect) loved to disturb mine, Rosamond and JoJo (exclude Naruto and Mickey as they not born
yet)by singing “Wo Deng Zhe Ni Hui Lai (我等着你回来)”,Wo Deng
Zhe Ni Hui Lai (我等着你回来)”.
Wo Deng Zhe Ni Hui Lai was one of the favorite song of Siu Fu Yung as a
talented singer. This song feature frequently in “Time Before Time”.
We all screamed
loudly due to fear to this ghost song and not allowed Ah Yi to sing “Wo Deng
Zhe Ni Hui Lai”. Ah Yi was very annoying. These funny moments in my childhood were difficult to
forget.Having re-watched recently was
totally different feelings. No more scared to ghost theme drama anymore. And
missed the time watching this drama with my siblings. We laughed and screamed
together.
“It indeed brought
back my childhood memories”
This drama begins with the death of a young couple, Luk Wan
Kwong and Siu Fu Yung in GuangZhou in
1922. Then, it jumped to 1947 that feature Hui Dai Kwong , a lazy, lower class
guy that searched the job in manufacturing organization, Kwong Cheong Lung. One
night, Hui Dai Kwong accidentally released the ghost of Siu Fu Yung from a
paper umbrella in the haunted Kwong Cheong Lung. Siu Fu Yung mistakenly recognize
Hui Dai Kwong as her husband, Luk Wan Kwong because he looked exactly similar with Luk Wan
Kwong . Since Hui Dai Kwong scare to death, so he promised to help her. In return, Hui Dai Kwong hoped Siu Fu Yung
helped him to get rich by using her ghostly power. Sadly, Siu Fu Yung failed to
utilize her ghostly power since she had been stuck in the paper umbrella for
almost 27 years. Siu Fu Yung retells her tragic life by possessing the body of
radio host through a radio station. Hui Dai Kwong fall in love with Siu Fu Yung
as time passed by. One stormy night, Hui Dai Kwong gained his previous life
memories and realize that he was Luk Wan Kwong . The mystery of the killer for Luk
Wan Kwong and Siu Fu Yung revealed at
the end. Finally, in 1990, Luk Wan Kwong/ Hui Dai Kwong and Siu Fu Yung met again. This destinated
lovers lived happily ever after.
Below were my favorite scenes of “Time Before Time” by print
screen them.
As I mentioned earlier, Hui Da Kwong took advantage on Siu Fu Yung by helping him became rich. However, she can't helped him and he back-fired Siu Fu Yung. Really love his acting
Siu Fu Yung was invisible. All can't seen her except Hui Da Kwong. Everyone perceive something wrong with Hui Da Kwong when he talked with air.
Hui Da Kwong's relatives all scared with Siu Fu Yung when he announced that Siu Fu Yung had been stayed at their home.
That was the look of the clever, smart, brilliant Luk Wang Kwong. He was so successful in enhancing the business performance of Kwong Cheong Long. It was so different with Hui Da Kwong.
The body of the relative of Hui Da Kwong, Sam Lok Gao possessed by Siu Fu Yung. It surprised the people when Hui Da Kwong and Sam Lok Gao were holding the hands of each other.
Hui Da Kwong mistakenly believed Siu Fu Yung reincarnated into dog and treated the dog very well. He even danced "zam zam bo" to entertain the dog
Hui Da Kwong suddenly became 6 years old little kid when cursing by the Wong Tin Leng. His relatives headache with his childish behaviors.
I also loved the theme song, 抱紧眼前人by Anita Mui. The lyrics make me realized I can't go against fate as fate determined our life. This includes our loved one. So I should appreciate the one that we loved. Part of the lyrics were like below:
Recently, I follow and engage to the TVB Hong Kong drama,

Honestly, I don’t have high expectation on this drama but
the more episodes I watch the more warm I gain. Following are the reasons that
I like this drama very much.
What I like:
The inspiring elements in this drama encourage
me to think positive and always grateful for the rest of my lives.
Myolie Wu’s acting- The she carry the identity
and the role of the blind woman in this drama is very brilliant. Her acting
looks very natural in every scene. She really did a good job in leading this
drama.
The theme song –Angel/天使 by Myolie
Wu. The meaningful lyrics really touch me.
Last but not least, if you like the sweet and warm drama series, this is for

your tissue paper ready.
I play this song almost every day recently.
One of my favorite scene in the drama, whereby Moses Chan took all the photos about the frequent daily routes of guide dog and Myolie Wut. He gives to Myolie Wu for memories as guide dog left Myolie Wu.
Lift scene, Moses Chan, Myolie Wu and guide dog always in this lift
