My 2015 Reflection

The times flies in a blink of an eye and today is the last day of 2015. I feel today just like started 2015. Thus, I would like to reflect and highlight the things that happen this year.

January 2015. We went to Han Jiang BBQ House, Sibu for lunch. This lunch meant so much to me as we reunited after so many months apart with my family. My family was my everything. Nothing can be replaced.
February 2015. Tay's family Chinese New Year Eve Dinner. It was the day that I really looked forward throughout the year because entire Tay's family can reunion. Away from home always make me appreciate the family reunion because I can't predict who will be missing from the table next year.

"新年期间,不管有多少应酬与聚会,别忘了,吃了一顿团圆饭,拍了几张阵势很强的大合照后,也要好好待在家人身边,寻回家人与家人的那份“平常心”,并且尊重彼此的生活方式与习惯。不必刻意,不须特别,这才是家” -Quoted from Owen Yap Facebook
March 2015. I put Buddhas' pictures and prayed it everyday  in my hostel room. Sometimes, I also contributed flowers as offering. Through daily praying, I found my inner peace.
April 2015. JoJo and me bought a Xiao Mi smartphone for Papa Tay. He demanded a smartphone to follow current smartphone trend. He also enjoyed in learning on how to use the smartphone. Sadly, he lost his smartphone within few months.
I had been manipulated in May 2015. It was a lie of  1 day Hatyai tour package advertisement in student university facebook page. Starting from that day, I didn't believed what I read online.
June 2015, having spontaneous Bali trip with JoJo. First in my life time, I experienced relaxation for traveling. No trip planning and always pampered myself throughout the trip played an important role in reducing my mentally stress
July 2015. I back home for 2 weeks. I had the wonderful times when playing with my sisters.

August 2015, long awaited proposal defense was coming. Thank Buddha, I passed with minor correction. My hard work was paid off. It was the milestone for my Phd journey.
September 2015. Entire September month I waited for the supervisor's guidance to proceed my research works but she was tied up with her works. Apparently, waiting by doing nothing and worries  also considered as one form of mentally stress.  This waiting process make me learned:

"higher patience level was required to go through waiting supervisor's feedback process"
October 2015, I met a new friend. She motivated and encouraged me from times to times.
November 2015, I traveled to Hong Kong with Naruto. Always wished to travel with her and finally my wish came true. I knew her better through traveling. It also increase our sisterhood.
December 2015 went to Krabi, Thailand with JoJo again. Thank you JoJo reluctant traveled far from Kota Kinabalu to UUM just to find me.  Without her,I can't saw the beauty of Ao Nang beach and Hong Island. A moment that I'll never forget.

Looking back my 2015 pictures and regaining these memories bring tears into my eyes. It was the up and down of my life. Nevertheless, I'm grateful I'm still alive and what I have right now. I sincerely hope my 2015 will better than 2015.

Happy New Year 2016!!!

Yee Sun Milk Company @ Senado Square, Macau

When visiting Macau,we tried Yee Shun Milk Company's steamed milk pudding. All the Macau food guides indicated that it is well known for steamed milk pudding.

I saw Yee Shun Milk Company had 2 branches in Macau. One was in Almeida Ribeiro while the other was in the Senado Square. We picked the Yee Shun Milk Company in Senado Square since it nearby our planned attractions.

 Yee Shun Milk Company
Chinese written menu.
The milk pudding served hot and cold. Moreover, the milk pudding also had different toppings such as red beans, eggs and so on
Hot steamed milk pudding. It was so smooth, creamy and intensive milk taste. I personally didn't like it because the subtle milk taste. The more bite I had, the more I wished to vomit.
Pork chop bun. The bun was crispy but very hard and dry. I had the hard times in chewing it. However, the grilled pork was well seasoning. I preferred the softer bun so this pork chop bun not caught my attention

Day 4 Discover Hong Kong: Macau

Macau was the neighbour of the Hong Kong. Tourists loved to explore Macau when visiting Hong Kong at the same time. This included us as well. There were several ways to get to Macau such as ferry and helicopter. It all depended on your budget and times.

We opted for Ferry to reach Macau because it's the most economic and convenient. From MTR Mong Kok station---> MTR Sheung Wan station, we arrived Shun Tak building and went to the third floor to take the Macau Ferry. Macau ferry operated by few companies (e.g Cotai Water Jet & Turbojet).

We traveled by using Cotai Water Jet as we bought the Macau ferry tickets from Ding Ding online travel company few days ago. It solely sold the Cotai Jet Macau ferry tickets. Nevertheless, Cotai Water Jet departed to Macau Taipa ferry terminal. All the Macau casinos were near to Macau Taipa ferry terminal, therefore, for those that wished to go to casinos, Cotai Water Jet was the best for them.

Meanwhile, Turbojet stopped at Macau outer harbour ferry terminal. The Macau famous tourist attractions such as Ruins of St Paul, Senado Square, Monte Fortress, A-Ma temple were in the Macau outer harbour ferry terminal areas. Hence, I would advise the visitors that prefer to visit tourists attractions, please take the Turbojet instead of Cotai Jet. I had been told by the locals they always took the Turbojet because Turbojet's ferry was quite frequent. Read more about Turbojet, click H.E.R.E.

Naruto changed the tickets issued by the Ding Ding travel company with Cotai Water Jet. It brought inconvenience for us as wasted our time to enter the departure hall.
The day looked gloomy and dark.
The female staff suddenly turned sour face when noticing me took their photo. What a fucking customer service attitude?
No time to take the proper shot as most of the passengers behind me seemed rushing to explore Macau terminal

1) Venetian Macau

The first stop in Macau was Venetian Macau. It was a luxury hotel and casino resort owned by Las Vegas Sands. At there, you'll amazed by the grand buildings' structure and ambiances, gondola ride, great shopping experience and so on.

Taking free shuttle bus went to Venetian Macau.
Tallest casino and hotel buildings everywhere.
I felt I visited the King Palace instead of hotel and casino

Everything was in gold colors
So shiny
3D effect of the floor. So amazing
Luxury brands that totally not suitable for me
Impressed with the brilliant ideas of the creator
Enjoying the serene ambiance and exceptional architecture
The imitate sky really like the real one
Paid for HKD 128 for 15 minutes gondola ride. While the gondalier glides through the water, she sang "Fly Me To The Moon" at the same time.
However, I'm dissatisfied with the gondola service. The gondoliers laughed at my answers when they asked us questions. Poor customer services!!!

2) Fisherman Wharf

In fact, fisherman wharf was not included in our Macau to go list. Since we took free shuttle bus from Venetian Macau to Macau outer harbour ferry terminal, and found out fisherman wharf just within close distance with Macau outer harbour ferry terminal. Further, both of us participated in the selfie contest of all the Macau attractions organized by Macau Tourism Board. Thus, we paid a visit there.

Naruto's cute facial expression in the entrance of the theme park

Exhibition, convention center and restaurants could be seen there

In order to save our time, we get the bus no 3 to Ruins of St Paul (our main Macau attractions) and Senado Square

3) Kuan Tai Temple

The folks got the blessings from Kuan Tai

4) Senado Square

It was the public square of Macau and located in the central area of the Macau. Please make sure to come early as more crowded later. The photos definitely looked better when less sea of people.

Unique road sign

We failed to get Ruins of St. Paul although searching through tourist guide books and road signs. I saw few European tourists also like us lost in finding Ruins of St Paul. The road signs were confused us. They indicated here and there but when we followed exactly we also can't find it.

To make matter worst, we seeked the help from the locals however the local refused to assist us by saying "you ask others for directions, I was damn busy". It left the negative impression for Macau based on tourists perspectives. It also made me felt unwelcome.

Given by Macau Tourism Board as the souvenirs to participate in the selfie contest
It was cold at the outside of the Macau outer harbour ferry terminal.
We used Turbot Jet back to Hong Kong at 6.30pm.

Turbot Jet offered Standby System for Macau-Kowloon,  Hong Kong ferry in case the passengers in the previous Macau-Kowloon,  Hong Kong ferry didn't turned up. It benefited the next next next schedules of passengers to replace the empty seats.

I liked this type of system because it save the passengers times. In other words, it reflected efficiency and higher productivity.

In contrast, I dislike the customer service of Turbo Jet ferry's staff. They were so impatient in answering the questions of tourists. Besides that, they were not give clear instructions and totally create the troubles for the tourists. They even showed angry faces when the tourists needed to clarify the questions. Seriously, their customer services were unacceptable. Perhaps professional customer service training could fix this problem.

Isn't the guy arrow pointed in the above picture was the Come Home Love (爱回家)'s actor???Searching for few times but still can't confirm. The story was like this:

Naruto: Jie Jie, you see that guy? He seemed appear in Come Home Love (爱回家)1

Me: (looking at the old guy). Yes, I had been seen this old guy in TVB drama

Naruto: Not the old guy laaaa, the young one. He is wearing blazer. The ladies next to her is Fala Chen (陈法拉)

Me: Fala Chen not look like this lady boooo. You must recognize the wrong person liao.

Naruto: Yes, he is. You see, you see, very similar.

I don't bothered Naruto at the end. She seemed not give up and kept on persuading me she had been seen one of the TVB actor in person. Oh my god!!!
