Eating in Hatyai

We managed to stayed in Hatyai for few hours. Due to short period of times, we only did the quick shopping and explored few Hatyai foods nearby the Lee Garden Plaza.  Below was the foods that I tried.

1) Fried Hor Fun Stall

Walking straight from the our hotel, we found this fried hor fun stall was bustling with patrons. Thus,we assumed it must be very famous and decided to give a try. Ordering process was very quick and easy because the owner knew to spoke Hokkien. I saw it offered 2 types of fried hor fun, dry hor fun and wet hor fun. We choose dry hor fun.

Condiments
Dry fried hor fun/kuey teow (55 Thai Baht). The pork were pretty juicy and tender. Not only that, the hor fun also very soft and easier to chew. On top of that, it had the good dose of "wok hei". Overall, this plate of fried hor fun was aromatic and well-flavored.
The sugar cane drink was very "kao" and fragrant

Highly recommended this pretty decent fried hor fun (dry one)!!! I hope next time will revisit again.

Address: 68/1 Sanehanusorn road (on the left side on the shopping walking street from Lee Garden Plaza to BP Grand Tower Hotel)

2) Fresh bread stall

 20 Baht for each breads.
All these breads filled with Kaya jam (i.e a coconut jam with yellow and green color)
The bread had soft texture. The Pandan and Kaya jam also in the right amount. So yummy
It was so soft and pluffy. The yellow color Kaya jam was very aromatic.

3) Chok Dee Dim Sum

JoJo picked the raw dim sum and the staff steamed our ordered dim sum. It was so different with other dim sum restaurant.
1-Mini Char Siew Bun-Not fantastic as the skins of the buns stick to my teeth during chewing.
2- Chee Cheong Fun- The Chee Cheong Fun was with vegetables fillings. The vegetables were so flavorful
3-Siew Mai- I like the juicy and sweet prawns of Siew Mai.
4-Steamed Chai Kueh- The vegetables in the Chai Kueh were in right amount. The skins were decent and translucent
5-Har Kao- I enjoyed the Har Kao most because the prawns filling were sweet. Other than that, the skin of the Har Kao were adequately thin

All the dim sum were 18 Thai Baht. I find them pretty good value for money.

Address: 162-164 Niphat Uthit 3 Road, Hatyai
