Locating at Hebei province; it takes 4 hours driving from Beijing.
Chengde Putuozongcheng Temple is nicked name Little Potala Palace; built
by the Qianlong emperor for the purpose to celebrate his mother’s 80th
birthday.
Qianlong emperor’s Manchurian stone inscription
Whereas at the back of the stone inscription is modern China version.
At the bottom of the stone inscription has dragons sculptures, it is said
that rubbing the dragons could make everyone wildly successful in their life.
All the tour members believe and rub together.
This is the good news for us as the Buddhists, a gesture of respect and
admirations.
The archway only allows emperors to walk through during ancient days. On the other hand, everyone is equal and can
walk the archway in the modern days.
This temple lived up to its name, Little Potala Palace, replicate Potala
Palace Tibet. The buildings have Tibetan
architecture styles.
I can see the importance of red and white colors in Tibetan temple architectures.
Rosamond uses smiles to cover her sorrow for climbing to the top. ☺☺☺☺☺☺
Prayer flags in bright red, yellows, green, blues and whites.
There are some halls and staircases have dim lights. Torchlights should
be prepared.
Don't know why Mickey in this picture like Korean lady ☺☺☺☺☺☺
The highlight of the Little Potala Palace is central pavilion’s gold tiled roof
Many halls and pavilions of Little Potala Palace adorn with coppers and
gold tiled roofs. I climbed to the top by using stairs to get a glimpse of the
central pavilion’s gold tiled roof.
But I tell you it worth the times, efforts and sweat. Gold tiled roof of
a central pavilion seemly as the victory for the exhausted climbing.
As mentioned in the previous blog entry, lower rooftop’s gold tiles are scrapped
away by the Japanese soldiers.
There’s exception for the upper rooftops.
Heights deterred them to misbehave.
Naruto not feels exhausted as we're; she is very smart in finding the temple's short cuts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The temple is well-maintain; included the pave ways, roads and buildings. Can't believed it has thousand years of histories
