Sadao immigration check point
Regardless early morning or late night, it often swamped with visitors especially Chinese. Luckily, its' facilities being improved-air conditioner office. Indeed, this times not sweated like bucket.
In mini van headed to Hatyai, 57 Baht.
We grabbed some 7 eleven foods. While waiting the van for departure and started eating, the driver came to us.
Driver : Point to our foods plastic and cross his hands.
Me & Rosamond: OOO, no foods in the van.
(so both of us wanted to eat outside the van)
Driver: Push us to the van.
Me & Rosamond: The bus want to jalan already.
Rosamond then started conversation with me.
"Aiyohhh. Very tired with this situation. Hungry, hot and sweaty."
"Can't communicate with Thais. They talked A but we don't get it. Body language damn important."
Food court of Central Festival Mall.
Me: What do you think about Somtam?
Rosamond: Similar with Ah Jiu's buah suai (i.e salads made by uncle during grew up)
Me: Pork leg rice is different with Mama version.
Rosamond: Yes. But the pork legs were flavorful and juicy.
Me: How much this plate of pork leg rice?
Rosamond: More than 60 Baht. The lady ask me whether to add eggs and pork intestines. I add all as your favorite and end up high price.
Me: you're very smart. Now, how much we left in the food court card?
Rosamond: It's enough to buy a drink, ice tea.
This was Rosamond, can't resist the food temptations.
Central Festival Mall's free shuttle bus to Lee Garden Plaza.
Waiting the bus almost 1 hour. The person in charge escorted us to the wrong bus. We all in frustration when seeing the bus and visitors later than us left already.
Rosamond and me so "kiam siap" and refused to use the tut tut service. So, wasting times to wait the bus was our only option.
Every time came to Hatyai, I wouldn't miss the Char Keoy Teow. Not regrets with Hatyai Char Keoy Teow.
It's opposite for Rosamond. Char Keoy Teow with Kai Lan not gained her liking. However, she gave the special recognition to the cane drink, very kao and not overly sweet.
On the other side, I gobbled down Char Keoy Teow and cane drink like there' no tomorrow!
Night market in front of Lee Garden Plaza & Hotel. You'll see the vendors all in flower shirts
Pork leg rice
Big and small coconuts.
Rosamond: Thailand's coconut very famous. I wanna give a try. After 10 minutes, Thailand's coconut NO DIFFERENCE with Malaysia coconut.
Encountering pink colors of salty eggs
Pork sausages
Plenty flavors of crepe rolls
Papaya could make a tea too.
Sushi complemented with seaweed, strawberry and other dipping sauces
Fresh milks, only 13 baht
sweet and sour fried pork, tasted similar with 咕噜肉
Janglon-mackerel fish cake with coconut
Fresh cream cakes, anyone?
Fairly salivating when typing and imagining those cakes
Pork rinds
So many giant prawns over the fried rices.
Wii this handsome vendor generous in giving giant prawns to the customers? Or the prawns only for demonstration purpose?
mini brownies
This was Guo Ba (锅巴), and it equaled to Bee Pang. What distinguished them was many flavors of Thailand's Guo Ba.
Si Nam Biscuits

We didn't eat and buy much either. We just had a plate of Char Kuey Teow. Both of us enjoyed at there. The vendors very friendly and cheerful. Some could speak in Malay language since Malaysians flooded there. I'll definitely bring my family to come here for my next visit.
