Taroko National Park

Update on **26 December 2013**

We left our hotel guest room on 7.30am and had the breakfast in the restaurant of HuaLian Fu Ye Resort (花莲富野度假酒店). We headed over Taroko National Park in Hualian.

I love to see her wear the dress, so feminine
Can't stop myself from shooting her
She can't resist the temptation of breakfast in the star rating hotel
She's trying the Taiwan style congee but it's not liking my taste
Panorama view on the road

After 1 hours, we landed the shooting platform of Taroko National Park. We proceeded to small stalls that were selling souvenir. But the price was quite high because most of the tourists will visit there.

We’re told by Ah Xiang about the 2 important hero that develop Hua lian.

The first one is Jiang Jing Guo (蒋经国). He’s the one that develop the road that connected Hua Lian to other places.

The second was Master Cheng Yen (证严法师 ). The life of Taiwanese was extremely hard in east coast Taiwan, Hualian during 1970s.  Master Cheng Yen realized the poverty and responded to the suffering of the poverty and pour great love into the world. During so many years overcome the difficulties in the mission of great love, finally she success get the donation to build the first general hospital in Hualian. Most of the Tzu Chi volunteers that appreciated Master Cheng Yen’s persistence, respect, great love and finally settled down in the Hualian.

we're brief about the Taroko tribe's history, life style and culture

From the video I learn that facial tattooing was one the culture practices by Taroko tribe.

The man will have the tatoo down the middle of the forehead and the middle of the chin. This symbolist "顶天立地". For the woman, they are tattooed more line on the forehead and continuous pattern around the mouths and cheeks.

A man from Taroko has to always prove himself as a warrior while the woman has to be a skilled waver.

We failed to go Eternal Spring Shrine (长春祠)our buses was broken down when moving towards the Taroko museum. Therefore,Ah Xiang compensated us by requesting the museum personnel to display the Taroko tribe video for us.

If Ah Xiang demonstrate her democratic leadership style, I will demand the other tourist spots from her to replace the Eternal Spring Shine that's scheduled in our itinerary. Eternal Spring Shrine cannot equal to Taroko tribe video!!!
