Our day 3 plans were Ngong Ping cable car, the Big Buddha and also Po Lin Monastery.
Ngong Ping Cable Car & Ngong Ping Village
From Tung Chung MTR station and Citygate outlet, we walked 3 minutes to Ngong Ping cable car center.
It's Citygate Outlets. It's outside Tung Chung MTR station. The branded items such as Nike, Coach, New Balance, Esprit with discounted prices could be get at there.
I didn't think the branded items were in cheaper prices. It's the promotional strategies of retail outlets. For example, I often see "Buy 1 shoes was HKD 600, 2nd shoes had 50% discount" advertisement at there. In fact, the first pair of shoes always cost less than HKD 600. At the same time, shoes not in promotion in Malaysia even cheaper than Citygate Outlets. Basically, the outlets had priced the second pair of shoes into the price of the first pair of shoes. Thus, think twice before spending in Citygate Outlets.

A hot and sunny day
Long queue for buying a Ngong Ping cable car tickets on 10am. We had a short queue that lasted for 40 minutes. It seemed useless in buying the cable car tickets in advance. Therefore, be prepared for the queue at least 1 hour
The staff controlled the queues all the times
Very long queue for crystal cable car compared standard cable car. Naruto made a right decision in choosing for standard cable car. Otherwise, we were still in waiting process.

Honestly, I was not a fan for high ride. It included cable car that tend to shake all the times. Ngong Ping cable car had changed my perception. Not much shakes, hardly felt it because it rose up and down very slowly and smoothly.

Ngong Ping village was our first stop after 30 minutes cable car ride. There was free of charge when entering Ngong Ping village.
It’s
consisted of dining places, entertainment experience and retail outlets. We experienced the 4D theater of Ngong Ping village that costed HKD 88.

It had 268 steps. I gave up in the halfway but Naruto encouraged me to see the wonderful views of the top of Buddha
Finally I reached there.

The Big Buddha was surrounded by 6 smaller statues. These 6 statues offered flowers, incense,lamp, ointment and fruits to Buddha
Po Lin Monastery
Opposite The Big Buddha was Po Lin Monastery.
Always seeing this scene in TVB drama especially praying and visiting the ancestors.

Po Lin Monastery shared the social responsibility in taking care of cows. Po Lin Monastery environment really cultivated the spirituality looked like among the cows. Like above picture, the cow not refuse the people to touch it and quite grateful of their action.
The eyes of the cows represent the cow had soul. As a Buddhist, I deeply believed every living being either animals nor tiny organisms possessed souls and they were like humans also subject to the cycle of death and birth.

This one too. It was so peaceful and very looked forward to live under such environment
