Discover Hong Kong Day 1 (Part 2)

It's the free shuttle that send us over arrival hall of Hong Kong International Airport
Wishing to take this scene because it always appeared in the Hong Kong drama.
Then, we queued up for buying and reloaded Hong Kong Octopus card (八达通). It's a stored value smart card for making electronic payment. The transportation system (e.g public bus, railway train), convenience stores (e.g 7-11), fast food restaurants (e.g Burger King) widely accepted Octopus card.

Thus, it played the important roles in our Hong Kong trip. We had the bad impressions of Hong Kongers when buying the Octopus card. The guy that shown in above picture threw the balance money, Octopus card and receipt to me. Even worst was he showed the impatient faces when seeing more and more people queue up for Octopus card. Seriously, I was shocked!!!!

Isn't the Hong Kong style customer services? What the hell........
From the arrival hall in Gate A & B, we turned left to search for 1010 shop to buy local SIM Card
From the clear signboard, we headed to public bus station. Basically, there were few options when going to town area but we opted for public bus due to cheapest bus fare and convenience issue. We just needed take 1 type of public bus to reach our destination compared to railway train.
Detailed bus route guided us properly
They were like us too, waiting A21 bus number to Mong Kok area. Some of them were came from Korea while the some from China, Indonesia, Philippines and so on.
The weather was hot like Malaysia too. We managed to spot the mountain view while waiting the bus
Within 10 minutes, the bus came. It had lots of buses to town area, thus the buses were frequent in picking the passengers. Don't worry!!!
If I'm not mistaken, Malaysia had this trees also.
Nice shoot from Naruto
Endless mountain view
Combination of primary and secondary school
I remembered this scene. Frequently seeing it in the fireman series of Hong Kong drama
After 4 stops, we reached our guesthouse after walking for 5 minutes. Honestly, we spend almost 1 hour to search the Argyle streets in Mong Kok (i.e my guesthouse located at there). All the streets were so crowded
Wish to cry when finding our guesthouse was in there successfully. The alley had smell.
The guesthouse was a Ban Gun (宾馆)
The host. She originated from Mainland, China and settled down in Hong Kong 10 years ago.
She allowed us to choose the double room because some double rooms had window but some were not. At the end, Naruto selected the double rooms without window because it's quite clean.

Negative Reviews:

1. Not provided the towels, tooth paste and brushes.
2. The facilities like clothes hanger was broken.
3. Not informed us the operating time of lift and main door of the Sincere House.
4. Not allowed me to use the hair dryer for my bath towel when the male host (i.e husband) saw me on and off the hair dryer.

Both of us can't bear with the tiny small room. It even smaller than our store room in my house.
What to do, we forced to stay there since we had limited budget on our accommodation.
Our first meal in Hong Kong, Hung Fa Roasted Meat at Mong Kok. It was 2 door away from Sincere House
Although it's 5pm but the supply of roasted meat able to sufficiently meet the customer demands . If in Sarawak, Malaysia, this scene definitely can't seen because most of the roasted meat stalls had been closed.
It's very tiny and narrow
I did found a good Hong Konger to help us take photo. He even recognized us when we revisited again.

We ordered the set meal (全日特价饭). Set meal had free soup and supplied throughout the day. However, the free soup sold out after encountering such experience and we forced to pay for drinks. Hot and cold drinks had different prices.

Therefore, my thrifty strategy was confirmed for set meal's free soup before ordering. If sold out, it's good to order for  Ala Carte food (单价饭).

****Now I realized the reason why the low income groups of TVB Hong Kong drama preferred set meal. Never thought 1 day I employed the same strategy like them too.

The Char Xiu rice tasted like Malaysia Char Xiu. Nothing to shout about. The only difference was Malaysia Char Xiu rice came long with cucumber but Hong Kong with Choy Sam.
I loved this soup very much although not sure the soup's name. Soup's sweetness and much flavor not from AjiNomoto or Sugar but slow cooking from the stocks, nuts and vegetables.
Taking train to Lam Kwai Fong. It's Hong Kong's primary night life destination.

Hong Kong TVB drama portrayed it as the Hong Kongers' place for after work drinks (with work dress most of the times) but in reality a lot of Caucasians were in clubbing dress codes spend the great night with their Caucasians friends. Less Asian faces at there.

I only spend half an hour at there. Thus, I didn't had the opportunity the romantic night life of Lam Kwai Fong. Hopefully revisit there with proper clubbing dress code and physical fit situation.

Huge electronic board that carry high luxury brand in everywhere of Hong Kong

Yea, Naruto in Lam Kwai Fong
Walking at the back of the Lam Kwai Fong.
A very nice building design and structure.
End this post with curry fish ball. It tasted awful, heavy fishy smell
