Discover Hong Kong Day 2: Wong Tai Sin Temple

Update on **8 November 2015**

Red mini buses of Mong Kok
The back lane in Mong Kok area reminded me about the murder cases and police stories of Hong Kong TVB drama

Our Day 2 Hong Kong trip began with Wong Tai Shin Temple (黄大仙).It was one of the famous temple in Hong Kong because it claimed to make your wish come true upon request.  Further, I always heard that the women in TVB drama often mentioned Wong Tai Shin Temple for Kau Cim, a fortune telling practices whereby the worshiper requested the answer from the Kau Cim sticks.  It meant the locals strongly believed that the wish turned true when making a wish at there because the TVB drama deeply reflected the Hong Kong cultures.

Hong Kongers actually looked like Malaysians in terms of their clothes, Cantonese language, hairstyles and so so on.
Taking MTR from Mong Kok station and dropped off at Wong Tai Sin station.
Naruto searched the right exit when we're in Wong Tai Sin station from the Hong Kong MTR tourist app. This app was very useful in offering recommended routes with the estimated travelling time, interchange, fares and closest exits. It totally help the travelers to save times and efforts
I knew that I was at the right exit based on above signboard
Exit B3 leaded me to the entrance of the temple. Just reached the entrance found that few old women trying to sell me holly sticks.
It's Wong Tai Sin Temple mall, a shopping mall with branded goods

Nice design
Naruto was the good actress in taking photo
High rise buildings as the backdrop
A row of stalls sold the incense sticks, candles and other decorations

Windmills (风车). One of the TVB drama, Untraceable Evidence I (鉴证实录 I) featured such windmills had the power to bring the good luck

Sik Sik Yuen (蔷色园)No idea the meaning actually and google searching result indicated it's an organization that managed Wong Tai Sin Temple

Donation boxes

Rabbit was my 12 Chinese animal zodiac
Naruto's 12 Chinese animal zodiac was rooster
Fu Tak Shrine
God of Chinese Medicine.
God of Fortune shrine (财神殿). It's name was Zhao Gong Ming, wore metal helmet and spur, had curly beard on his dark cheeks, riding black tiger. He was able to control thunder, lightning, wind and rain. He also ensure businessman had good profits
It was so crowded in front of the main altar. The inside of the main alter was not opened to public.
It's difficult to get the clean shoot
Exploring the few temples within the vicinity area

Bodhi trees

At my first glance, it looked like the garden in the vintage drama. The king always had the wonderful time with his wife in such garden

Hahaha, her funny face

She managed to stand there for 1 minute just to observe how this little tool offered water for the plants
So many types of Bamboo trees, but I managed to take 1 type only

This garden was well-maintained. I was very enjoyed at there. Other than that, no mosquitoes bite me  in the garden walking because it had sprayed the mosquitoes repellent. It was a good news for me since I hated to visit any gardens when back home due to mosquitoes problems.
